Emergency Food Assistance

Food Distributions

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) distributes government food to low-income residents of Lackawanna County via both mass distributions on designated days and on a constant basis via local pantries. Over 22 sites throughout the county are supplied on a rotating basis to distribute food through mass distribution.

All low-income residents of Lackawanna County are eligible to receive food at the distribution sites on the announced available dates. Pantries will assist eligible residents as needed or in an emergency situation.
